The story
When star pilot Desmond Sanchez's account of a near-fatal crash in the experimental Eclipse is not believed, he is demoted to instructor at the Alado Academy. Before classes begin he falls for Blaise Quinn, then abruptly ends the affair on learning she is a cadet.
In retaliation Blaise passes Dez's secret codes for the Eclipse to her twin brother, who vanishes with the plane. Now the two must work together to pull her twin out of a web of interstellar treachery, and perhaps find a way to forgive each other.
About this book
Starfire Rising is Book 2 of the Star Pilot Series and was released on September 21, 2015, the same day as Book 1, Outlaw Rising. Cyborg Rising completed the trio that November. The author's site lists the reading order as Outlaw Rising, Starfire Rising, Cyborg Rising and files all three under Futuristic Romance.
